Four Editions of Tehran Anima Fest

Four Editions of Tehran AnimaFest

Since the early stages of formation of Tehran International Animation Festival (TIAF), one of the most important preoccupations of the festival founders was preparing a field for easier access of animation lovers to best animation works of Iran and the rest of the world. Regarding this, extensive efforts were accomplished in every edition of the festival to attract and select the notable animations. The success of selected works of this festival at other international animation festivals is the evidence of TIAF achievement in this purpose.

Since the possibility of screening the animation works in Iran is limited to this festival and the incidental sections of other film festivals, through the last 8 years, many students and animators asked the bureau of TIAF to prepare an opportunity for re-viewing of the selected works of previous editions of festival.

In other hand, the entrance of a new generation of animated filmmakers has increased the importance of reviewing the achievements of previous editions of TIAF.

Therefore, in the present edition of festival a section was dedicated to screening the selected works of previous editions.
